FLEET, BETTY BALLENGER MORAN went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 6. 2003 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Her warm smile and loving spirit will be missed tremendously by her family and friends. Betty is survived by her husband, James Fleet of Harleton; daughter Dee Goodman; son-in-law, Steve Goodman of Plano, TX ; son Rick Moran and daughter-in-law, Belinda Moran of Allen, TX ; grandsons, Derrick and Grayson Goodman and wife, Kelli; great-granddaughter, Alexis Goodman, all from the Dallas area; grandson Casey Moran; granddaughter, Katy Moran, all of Allen, TX ; sister-in law, Gladys Ballenger of Longview; step-children, James E. Fleet of Goldwaithe. TX , Shirley Fleet of Van, TX , and Dean Fleet of Madisonville, TX . Mrs. Fleet was born June 24, 1926 in Elderville, TX to Lewis and Dora Ballenger. She was a homemaker, a secretary for Bell/Gossett which later became Marlow Pump, and was a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church of The Lake of the Pines. Services were held 10 AM Monday, June 9, 2003 in the Chapel of the Rader Funeral Home in Longview with Brothers Ron Hardman and Wayne Mintor officiating. Interment was in the Elderville Cemetery. The family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Lone Oak Baptist Church or to Neal McCoy's East Texas Angel Network.
