Hermione grew up to womanhood in the city of Dallas, Texas. Her noble Christian character endeared her to all the citizens of Dallas, as evidenced by merchants and business men generally closing their draped doors to attend her burial, and it was said that the funeral procession was the largest known in the history of Dallas, up to that time. She never married; died July 31, 1886.
