      CARTHAGE - Funeral services for LoLette Cozart Smith, 92, of Bridge City, formerly of Gary, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Gary Cemetery under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith died Monday, July 7, 2008, in Bridge City. She was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Shelby County to Hiram and Tressie Hinton Cozart. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gary.       Funeral services for LoLette Cozart Smith, 92 of Bridge City, Texas formerly of Gary, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with minister David Proctor officiating. Interment will follow in Gary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 until 11 a.m. on Thursday before the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith passed away on Monday, July 7, 2008 in Bridge City.
      LoLette Cozart Smith was born on September 15, 1915 in Shelby County, to Hiram and Tressie Hinton Cozart. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gary, where she taught Sunday school. She loved working with flowers, hunting, and fishing. Mrs. Smith had lived in Bridge City for the past eight years, moving from Gary. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Garland Smith; her brother, Hiram Cozart, Jr., two sisters, Clara Latham and Will Eva Bramblett; and her husband, Elbert “Tiny” Smith.
      Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, John Henry Smith and wife Shirley, of Bridge City; six grandchildren, Jerry Smith, Jerald Smith, Jimmy Smith, Jeff Smith, Garland Smith, Jr., and Sherry Smith; and 13 great-grandchildren.
      Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Smith, Jerald Smith, Jimmy Smith, Jeff Smith, Garland Smith, Jr., and Colin Smith.
