He was a volunteer for over 15 years with The Red Cross and St. Luke's Hospital. He was also one of the first Ham Radio Operators in the country, call name, "W50P". His 1st wife, Virginia Hubly Thomsen; daughter, Virginia Elizabeth Antill and grandson, James Charles Antill, preceded Mr. Thomsen in death. He is survived by wife, Grace Brown Thomsen; sister, May Louise Floyd; brother, Emil Thomsen and his wife Kristina; grandchildren, John Michael Antill and wife Lynne, Jeffery Thomsen Antill and wife Patsy, Carol Antill Sanderson and husband Roy and Susan Elizabeth Morgan; great grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Esquivel and husband Niel and Laura Michelle Morgan; great great grandchildren, Regan Danielle Esquivel and Sydney Marie Esquivel.
