  • Notes 
    • Nannie McBride Garrison was the daughter of the late Dr. James McBride and niece of Dr. Henry J. McBride. She was reared and educated in Tyler. In 1902, she married Reverand Gus Garrison, who was pastor of the Methodist Church in Athens, Palestine, and Marshall.

      Mrs. Garrison died on February 6, 1909, after a long illness, at the home of her brother, W.H. McBride. She was survived by her husband, brothers, and sisters. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
