MISS TINKLE
GARRISON RESIDENT SUCCUMBS
Funeral services for Miss Eddie Tinkle, 89, of Garrison will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the First Methodist Church in Garrison with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Officiating will be the Rev. Don Dodge, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Garrison, and the Rev. Kenneth Gant, pastor of the Baptist Church in Garrison.
Miss Tinkle died Tuesday morning in Memorial Hospital in Center.
Born Jan. 13, 1879, in Caledonia in Rusk County, Miss Tinkle had lived most of her life in Garrison. She was the daughter of William Marsh and Nannie Hamilton Tinkle and a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving is one brother, George Tinkle of Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Jim Taylor, John D. McNair, Tom Collins, Sr., Junie Harris, Red Garrison, J.P Dobbs, Doak Crawford, and Tom Collins, Jr.
Mrs. Mack Moore will direct the song service.
The body will be at the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel until 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, and Oakley-Metcalf will direct services.
