- Patti King Ross, 94 of Abilene, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Cliff Stewart officiating, under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St.
Ms. Ross was born February 14, 1911, to Jewel and Jessie King in Memphis, TN. She was raised in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Gulf Park College in Mississippi. She married T. M. Ross June 6, 1936, in Longview, Texas. They were married for 56 years. Mr. Ross was with Mobil Oil for 36 years and was in the 1929 class at Texas A&M. With Mobil Oil, they were stationed in Beaumont and Midland before moving to Abilene in 1979.
Ms. Ross was a member of the Abilene Woman's Club and First Central Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, J. W. and Corinne King; one niece Melanie Gray, great-nephew, Landon Gray and great-niece, Meredith Gray all of Abilene.
